An iconic set of three "Giovi" wall lamps, designed by the legendary Achille Castiglioni in 1982 for Flos, Italy. Combining technical ingenuity with sculptural simplicity, the Giovi is one of Castiglioni's most distinctive lighting designs, celebrated for its unique interplay of light and shadow.

Each lamp features a clean, circular white diffuser, partially screened by a curved lacquered metal shield that conceals the light source from direct view. Hidden behind the diffuser is an open, barred cylindrical structure, which transforms the emitted light into a spectacular radiating pattern. As illuminated, the lamp projects a dramatic halo of finely defined spikes across the wall, creating an ever-changing architectural effect that is as much about shadow as it is about light.

The restrained, geometric form reflects Castiglioni's philosophy of achieving maximum visual impact through minimal means. Rather than relying on ornament, the Giovi uses the engineering of its internal structure to produce a warm, atmospheric illumination with remarkable depth and character.
