Abstract ceramic shell sculpture with orange core

Available and in good condition. Minor repair.

A handmade ceramic sculpture consisting of a large, open shell-like form with layered circular structures and an exposed interior. Inside sits an irregular white ceramic element alongside a small, brightly coloured red-orange sphere. The contrast between the pale, rough ceramic surfaces and the glossy, intense colour creates the central tension of the piece.

The repeated curves and open framework give the sculpture an architectural quality, while the uneven surfaces and organic forms keep it tactile and slightly strange. It is a construction of shells, layers, openings and forms within forms, with the orange/red sphere providing an unexpected point of colour at its centre.
